What Remains of Edith Finch is an adventure game about a girl named Edith Finch. She is the only child of the late Edward Finch and his wife, Jane. Her parents are also dead. The girl lives in an abandoned family mansion in the town of Millbridge. Her goal is to solve the mystery of her family. She will have to go through the events of the past, especially the events that killed her grandparents, her aunt, and her uncle. In order to open the door to the mansion, she has to find the key which is hidden in the family home.
The game begins with the death of her aunt and uncle. The next day, she finds out that the key which she has found is the key to the mystery of her family. And she will have to go through the events of the past, which caused their deaths.
